Very sorry for your loss. I was where you are at a year ago when I suddenly lost my young vibrant loved living life husband at 65 from stomach cancer within in two months. It is one day, one breath at a time. Do not put pressure on yourself. You will heal and become a much stronger person because of it. I'm proof that you can feel happy to want to live life to the fullest again. My prayers are with you.

Oh, Melissa. My heart breaks for you and your family. There aren't any words. Please know that you have so many people who are holding space for you as you work through this one day at a time. Grief doesn't have a timeline. Sending love, friend.

Take as much time for yourself and don’t worry we will be here when you return. Grief can take many forms and you just have to roll with yours and be kind to yourself

I’m so sorry for you loss. After my Mom passed away, I kept asking myself “when does this get easier to deal with?” It took a lot longer than I expected. I realized I had to learn to adjust to this new life. Please be patient with yourself, it does take time.

Grief is one of the hardest things humans have to go through. It is a journey that no one wants to willingly go on. My heart goes out to at this difficult time. Take all the time you need to find your new way of life. Don’t let anyone tell you to get over the loss; anyone who says that isn’t a friend and has never lost anyone they care about. Feel free to tell us of your struggles and small triumphs as you cope.

Sorry, Melissa, I did not put a heart, as there is NOTHING to 'like' about this. And I already knew the first half through DMs. I am so very sorry, and look forward to hearing from you again whe you are ready.

Hugs and prayers, dear Melissa. How lovely to see photos of your loved ones at their happiest, enjoying life. Hold tight to your precious memories of your beloved father and your dear nephew, speak of them often, and never forget the good times. Recall the prayer, "I thank God for lending me you." No matter how long we have our loved ones, it's never long enough.
