The trees are gray, and the steel-colored clouds cover the sky. My steaming cup of coffee sits in front of me, and my Kindle lays next to it. It’s been a year of ups and downs, but as I reflect on it, I feel at peace.
We live in a world where it can become so easy to focus on the negative, but I choose to look for the good. There will always be negatives, but I hope you will take a moment with me to celebrate some of the amazing moments from this year.
I had the privilege of being a part of so many incredible book releases with my clients, and I appreciate every opportunity to connect with authors and readers.
I also relaunched The Literary Assistant here on Substack as a cozy space to share my personal journey. I’ve connected with so many wonderful people in the process!
Working with Caroline Jane Knight
to bring to a larger audience in 2025 has been an absolute delight, and I’m beyond excited for what lies ahead. On a more personal note, my son started high school and his first job—oh, and did I mention he’s now towering over me in height? The journey of motherhood continues to surprise me in the best possible ways. My husband and I have now been together for 20 years, and yes, we still get along (lol)!
I know 42 isn’t old, but I do find myself seeing the world in a new light. I’m learning to appreciate each day I’m gifted, enjoying the small conversations that happen, and doing my best to grow and evolve as a person along the way.
