The new year is here, and what better way to start it then reading some books that are set during New Years’!
I’ve rounded up five books to share. Four of them are in kindle unlimited and one is not but it is just too perfect for new beginning for me not to add it. I think it might be my New Year day read… we will see!
As always, I absolutely love hearing your thought on the books I share. Have you read any of them? Did you grab one or two? Did you share with a friend? I would love to know.🥰
I feel like we should do a countdown like the ball drop. 5,4,3,2,1… 🥳
He's the last person she wants to see at work.
He's also the one person she can't wait to talk to every night.
Ruled by social anxiety, Roxy has felt lonely and self-conscious for as long as she can remember. Her stress and self-doubt multiply when she starts working more closely with her brusque colleague Jeff, who brings out the worst in her. To escape, she immerses herself in an online fan community where she befriends an interesting guy with similar interests.
Unbeknownst to her, this online friend is none other than Jeff. As their real-life interactions evolve from hostility to a tentative friendship, Roxy faces a dilemma: Can she reconcile her feelings for what she believes are two different men?
Now she faces the challenge of finding happiness, connection, and confidence in both her virtual and real worlds. Can she overcome her self-doubt and conflicting emotions even as she falls in love with the grumpy co-worker?
This is a sweet, closed-door romance with no explicit scenes and no swearing, but you'll see some angst resulting from the heroine's mental health issues.

Pull off the swankiest New Year’s benefit gala the city has ever seen? Kaitlyn Armstrong has got this. Do it with the high school rival who once humiliated her? Kaitlyn Armstrong so does not have this…

Now he’s breaking her eight-year streak of avoiding him.
Kaitlyn fell under his spell once and it ruined graduation. Distraction means failure, and she can’t fail again—not when it will cost her family public humiliation in front of Austin’s social elite.
When the gala plans go wrong, and Micah is the only part that feels right, can Kaitlyn risk choosing him over finally making up for her mistakes in the past?
Dropping the Ball is a closed door romcom featuring old high school rivals with a strong dose of Gilbert and Anne competition and pining. It's a holiday romance with all the sizzle and swoon, but no spice.

(Two little Easter eggs! This book is written by an author from my home state and I share my name with one of the characters. I always find it a little extra fun when things like that happen :)
Their lives began together, but their worlds couldn't be more different. After thirty years of missed connections, they're about to meet again...
Minnie Cooper knows two things with certainty: that her New Year's birthday is unlucky, and that it's all because of Quinn Hamilton, a man she's never met. Their mothers gave birth to them at the same hospital just after midnight on New Year's Day, but Quinn was given the cash prize for being the first baby born in London in 1990--and the name Minnie was meant to have, as well. With luck like that, it's no wonder each of her birthdays has been more of a disaster than the one before.
When Minnie unexpectedly runs into Quinn at a New Year's party on their mutual thirtieth birthday, she sees only more evidence that fortune has continued to favor him. The gorgeous, charming business owner truly seems to have it all--while Minnie's on the brink of losing her pie-making company and her home. But if Quinn and Minnie are from different worlds, why do they keep bumping into each other? And why is it that each fraught encounter leaves them both wanting more?
A moving, joyful love story, This Time Next Year explores the way fate leads us to the people we least expect--no matter what the odds.
