As someone who has just hit 40 and is just now figuring out who the hell I am and what I want in life... yes. Absolutely.

Ah! I never see you on TikTok anymore. So happy you stopped in. 😊

I'm on TikTok still. I just haven't posted in a while due to a combination of burnout at the end of last year and being sick the beginning of this one. It's been frustrating! I'm still around, though. Just not making as many videos as I was. I'm working on that! <3

I hope you feel better soon. And take time to cure that burn out.

I have been! I've been working hard on figuring out my needs and how to meet them. It's rough going, but honestly it's rewarding work. Taking the guilt out of my pacing really is helping my mental health, but figuring out what's sustainable is a whole... process.

I think a lot of us are reaching that point of prioritizing mental wellbeing along with content creation.

True story. It’s rough, honestly. Trying to prioritize in the face of (*gestures broadly at everything*) is a whole full-time job in and of itself.

Oooo! Love it. But also, why does 40 now feel young. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

For the same reason that 64 now feels young. hahaa

Because it is! ❀️

Love later in life romance. I was before my time when I published two of them in my Caught in Love series that could be comps to these now. That feeling of not being seen or past second chance. Glad to see seasoned romance is finally getting its due. Thanks for the recommendations and endorsement, Melissa.

I'm so happy you add books this is micro trope! Seasoned romance is timeless. Thank you for stopping in. :)

You are so right!

My late wife, whom I have mentioned several times before, both here and in DMs, did not meet me until we were both in our early thirties. We both had already had our share of bad times behind us, and good ones too. We then had twenty mostly very good years together (nothing ever being perfect), before cancer took her. That was in 2019.

Although I was working on my writing at the time, there were also a lot of distractions, and I wish I had had some success while she was alive, so that there could at least have been a story she could have read. She did believe in and support me, as I did her. But she had many pieces of artwork to show for her efforts.

Me, I am only now starting to have results to show for my work, and approaching 61, I am past the middle. But I have to stick around for a while, because I still have stories to tell, and all that historical research and education can't be allowed to go to waste.
