The NetGalley experience - been there, done that- used to be fun many years ago. Now, it's just another example of publishers trying to iutdo each other as cheaply as they can. I resigned from NetGalley years ago but they keep sending me "invitations" to return and refuse to close our my long dormant account.
Reviewing*used* to be fun. Now, and I've been doing it almost 15 years, it's exhausting so I still review what I want when I want with no expectations from anyone but myself
βGive Me Buttefliesβ sounds like a pretty book. Already added into my TBR! By the way, is it just me who feel like there are loads of book release on the 21st?
Itβs not just you! I think they wanted a Jan release but as far away from the holidays as possible. Yay! I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too. π¦
Canβt wait to read the Net Galley advice! Love what youβre doing here at the moment - itβs really hitting that bookish streak I have and itβs all so, so great π₯°
Haha Iβm here for it! I picked up two fiction books today while out and about in Oxford - I still feel the pull of non-fiction, but itβs definitely fiction that I want to curl up in bed with. Your master plan must be working alreadyβ¦
Iβve read a lot of them! I really enjoyed her Tideswell series which I listened to on audiobook commuting to work. I read one by Susanna Kearsley recently and loved that. And the two I got today were by authors Iβd not heard of before, which I love.
I found *the cutest* bookshop! Iβve not seen it before. Felt like a pop-up shop. Then I saw the second hand book store and felt that was too dangerous in a city full of history nerds! π€£

Have you read anything from Phillipa Gregory? I feel like you would breeze through her books.
